Grace & Peace Winter Shelter Day
On March 18 [next Sunday!]
during Children’s Worship, children in 1st through 5th
grade will learn about the work of the Grace and Peace Winter Shelter. They will
pack sack lunches which will be given out to the women who stay at the Shelter.
Each child will decorate a sack and write a short note of encouragement or draw
a picture to be included with the lunch.
We need your help. You will find a list posted in the church foyer and
vestibule on which you can sign up to donate food for these lunches. Donated
food can be brought to the Milligan House kitchen by 10:00 am on Sunday, March
18.
Please call Mark Tucker at
680.3670 if you have any questions.

Movies@Milligan House
Movie Night at Milligan
House will be Friday, March 23 at 6:30 p.m. The movie to be shown is
“House of Sand and Fog”. All invited!
"House of Sand and
Fog ... is an intimate portrait of a painful truth, allowing sin to be carried
out to its natural and inevitable conclusion ... I left the theater very
sobered. Not only was grace more precious to me, but I realized that too often
I allow its beauty to numb my perception of sin rather than sharpen it." — Evan C. Derrick, Relevant Magazine
Movies@Milligan House are free and open to anyone (Christian or otherwise)
interested in watching and discussing movies. Complimentary pizza and child
care are provided. Please RSVP to Matt Philip by Wednesday, March 21 for child
care.

We will have House Church on
Wednesday, March 28 at 7 p.m. at the church building for a special
concert given by two Hungarian believers and for a picture report from Rob and
Tünde Futo. Child care will be offered, but you need to sign up your child.
Katrina Rebuilding Team
Work in Biloxi continues in
rebuilding efforts after Katrina. Bob Bolitho, Site Manager in Biloxi, recently
wrote:
It is time for another report from the mission field of
Biloxi about how God is working through His church to rebuild lives that were
devastated by hurricane Katrina. Even though it is eighteen months after the
hurricane, there is still a tremendous need to rebuild more houses….It is very
rewarding to be able to see families move back into their homes. We finished work on five houses last
week. Also, last week a number of volunteers dined with two families who are
now living in homes rebuilt by our volunteers. God is certainly gracious….
You are invited to be part
of an OOC team to go to Biloxi May 3-7 to help with rebuilding work there. All
skill levels and all ages are welcome. Please sign up or contact the church
office (314.962.3795).

Hospitality Wanted
The church office received a request from a young woman, Serena Rimer, who is looking for a free place to stay for a month (from the last week of April and May) while she looks for a teaching position in the area. She is a member of Grace PCA Church in Harrisburg, North Carolina. We talked to a member of their Session and confirmed her situation. She wants to move here to work as a teacher (she’s graduating this spring) & audit courses at Covenant Seminary. She hopes to eventually teach overseas.
If you are interested in possibly offering hospitality to this young woman, please call or e-mail the church office, and we will give you her contact information.

Here’s the 3/2/07 report from the Food Pantry:
Thank you for your generous

food drive. I've heard stories of our Old Orchard sisters sharing their pantry
bookmarks at the grocery store. Old Orchard donated a car load of groceries.
Please keep up the good work. This week [2/28] our 25 guests appreciated your
help. —Deb Eisenbraun for the
