“Praying with Children

Rescheduled for Saturday, February 17th!!

Parent/ Volunteer/ Teacher Session

Praying is something that is difficult for ALL of us, regardless of age. Yet, prayer is SO vital to following Christ. How do we teach children to pray? How can we incorporate prayer into our home, church, and class in a way that engages their hearts? How can we model a life a prayer to our children? To tackle these questions we are having a presentation and discussion time by former OOC member Dorie Fink.

Everyone is welcome to come. Parents are encouraged to come. Children’s Ministry teachers and volunteers are required to come:

Grace & Peace Food Drive

Help to stock the pantry

Bookmarks will be given out at the communion circle.

We are partnering with Grace and Peace Fellowship this month to collect food for Grace & Peace’s Food Pantry on February 25, the first Sunday in Lent. Let’s remember those in need and bring non-perishable, canned food. Although you can bring food “any Sunday”, this is a special effort to stock their shelves. Their shelves are empty. On Sunday, February 25, we will end this specific drive, and pray for this ministry to those in their neighborhood. You can bring the food before February 25, but let’s make a special effort to bring food! Drop off is in the foyer.

Here’s a list of what the Food Pantry puts in a “typical bag” for their Food Pantry guests.

1 box meal

1 small soup

1 large soup

1 can of fruit

1-2 cans of tuna

1 can of tomato product

1 bag of rice or pasta

2 packs of ramen noodles

3 cans of veggies (no green beans)

1 miscellaneous item (cereal/muffin mix/toilet paper)

Bring enough for a bag, several bags or bring any amount of one item. But no green beans, please.
