Church!
We welcome you to our
worship, and thank you for your patience while we renovate our building. We
invite you to use our child care services to infants through children in
kindergarten, located at Milligan House. Please see nursery details on the back
page. Also, visit our Sunday School, offered for all ages (9 a.m. on
Sunday mornings—see more below). If you would like to find out more about Old
Orchard and what we are about, please fill out one of our visitor forms
(currently in the foyer).
Tidbits & Overture
Deadlines
Tidbits: We
will have another Tidbits next week (7/30) so get your announcements to the
church office by Thursday morning, July 27 at the latest. We may shorten
announcements as needed to fit into space available.
Overture: Next
Sunday (7/30) is the deadline for the next Overture (our newsletter)
which comes out on August 13. Susan O’Neal is Editor for the August 13 issue of
the Overture. All submissions need to be signed. Please place your articles in
the Overture mail slot (in the foyer).
Sunday Fellowship Meal
Today is a Sunday Fellowship
Meal after worship. All invited! See Chris Carter if you have questions.
LOST & Found Sunday Morning
Program
Everyone is invited to join us for
the four Sunday Schools in August beginning August 6. This Sunday School will
be for all ages (adults and children) and it is designed to follow up our
Journey To Narnia Summer Children's Program. Our hope is to meet new families
and to learn, laugh, and grow together. Please join us each Sunday in August at
9 am in the church basement. If you can help with bringing snacks contact Mark
Tucker.
August House Church
No House Church the first
Wednesday in August due to our Summer Children’s Program. Our August House
Church has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 16 and will be given over
largely to a report on the Brazil Trip and to pray for the progress of the
kingdom of God in Brazil.

House. Individual sizes. Canned meat, boxed meals, large & small soups,
tomato products, fruit, vegetables, beans, rice or pasta, and ramen

Saturday, July 29. 9:00 a.m.
Due to delays in the basement work, we had to postpone our move into the
basement of the church building. Please listen to verbal announcements today
to see what help is needed with the building during this week.
We will also need help moving the nurseries back to the church building on
Saturday, July 29. If you can help, sign up to come on the sheets circulating.
Due to the changing nature of this end-of-the-renovations project, please
listen carefully to verbal announcements today for the latest!

Luke’s, 2336 Tennessee Ave. 63104. All are invited to this special occasion of
the members of Olive Branch joining with South City Church and the transfer of
some members from Old Orchard to South City.

Our Nursery
Nursery is offered for infants
& children through Kindergarten age. Next Sunday we plan to have the
nurseries back in the church basement.
Infants nursery for infants — 35 months begins at 10
a.m. This nursery is presently on the first floor of Milligan House.
Preschool nursery: Begins at
10:00 a.m. for 3 & 4 year olds and 10:45 a.m. for 5 through K. Pre-school
Nursery: children ages 3 and 4 can be
in the nursery at the beginning of worship, and then the older children (5
through K) remain with their parents until 10:45 a.m. when children will be
dismissed. Nursery is located on the second floor of Milligan House.
Parents: please pick
up your children from both the infant and preschool nurseries immediately after
worship.
CHEX

among parents)
Meets in the Preschool Nursery presently on the 2nd
floor of Milligan House until the nursery is moved). Openings are available;
see Margaret Wilke for more information. Will meet July 28, 6:00 to 8:15 p.m.
OOC Prayer Requests
Pray that our building would
be ready for Narnia Summer Children’s Program on Aug. 1. Pray for children to
come. Pray also for all the preparations.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We need children's
ministry volunteers for this fall! God has blessed us with a very fruitful
church in the area of young children and so one of our primary ministries is to
them. Please prayerfully consider serving in one of the following needs. Contact
Mark Tucker if you are willing.
1. 3 teachers and 3 Assistant Teachers to serve once a month for Children's
Worship.
2. 2 Nursery leaders to serve once a month.

School Supplies for Kids!
Old Orchard will
be collecting school supplies
through August 13, 2006 for children from families
served by Webster-Rock Hill Ministries.
You can participate in one of two ways:
1. purchase items from the list below and bring
them to
church
2. donate money by dropping into the offering plate:

in an envelope and designate it

Webster–Rock Hill
Ministries (WHRM) will sort the
donated supplies, and distribute them to children of their client families.
Funds will be spent to buy supplies.
