We welcome you to our
worship, and thank you for your patience while we renovate our building. We
invite you to use our child care services to infants through children in
kindergarten, located at Milligan House. Please see nursery details on the back
page. Also, visit our Sunday School, offered for all ages (9 a.m. on
Sunday mornings—see more below). If you would like to find out more about Old
Orchard and what we are about, please fill out one of our visitor forms
(currently in the foyer).

Heroes: “Sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do
not see” Hebrews 11:1. We intend
to:
inform the community of people who have been faithful in
serving God; inspire the community toward faithful living; intermingle
with others in the faith. All invited! We will learn, laugh and love
together. Nursery for ages 0-3.

Overture Deadline
Today, June 11, is the deadline
for the next Overture. (our newsletter). Susan O’Neal (for real this
time!) is Editor for the week. All submissions need to be signed. Please place
your articles in the Overture mail slot (in the foyer).
OOC Dinner Theater and
Auction
Sunday, June 25, 6:00 p.m.
To raise funds for our trip to Brazil.
Please join us on this
evening for a time of food and entertainment. We are still in need of raising
about $2000 for ministry projects that we will be involved with in Belo

People Wanted To Mow Lawns
Please sign up to mow the
lawns of our two buildings and also Willie Lee’s lawn (Willie is disabled &
his home is located in the Webster/Rock Hill area). We especially need more
volunteers for Willie’s lawn over the next few weeks. See Jerry Taussig if you
have any questions about the church lawn mowing.

Booth—No Selling!
At Webster Sidewalk Sale
Webster Groves is hosting a
sidewalk sale on June 17, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be an event where
churches, organizations and individuals can host tables to sell items or to
promote their services. Old Orchard Church will be sponsoring a booth for the
purpose of outreach (not selling) but we need church people to help host. If
you are available for any portion of this time contact Mark Tucker,

The Arts Ministry will meet
Tuesday, June 13 at 7 p.m. at Milligan House. All artists are welcomed.

“Hands & Feet” Mercy Resource
Assessment Form
If you haven’t filled one
out, please get one in. Copies are out in the parlor. This is an aid to the
deacons and the mercy
ministry in matching needs with gifts and skills.
Our Nursery
Nursery is offered for
infants & children through Kindergarten age.
Infants nursery for infants — 35 months begins at 10 a.m. This
nursery is presently on the first floor of Milligan House.
Preschool nursery: Begins at
10:00 a.m. for 3 & 4 year olds and 10:45 a.m. for 5 through K. Pre-school
Nursery: children ages 3 and 4 can be
in the nursery at the beginning of worship, and then the older children (5
through K) remain with their parents until 10:45 a.m. when children will be
dismissed. Nursery is located on the second floor of Milligan House.
Parents: please pick
up your children from both the infant and preschool nurseries immediately after
worship.
Volunteer Workers Wanted
Thanks to all of the volunteers who have been
coming to help clean up after renovation work during the week and on Saturday.
If you can work during the week, and you can come either in the early evening

If you are interested in
being added to an email prayer list for Cheryl Cook please email your address
to me. You will receive weekly (on average) prayer updates and have the
privilege and comfort of praying for Cheryl and her family. —Michelle Kraft
South City Church (your
daughter church!) invites you all to “Karoga Bonga” (Swahili for “stir food as
it cooks as you talk to each other”). Invite your friends to this bi-weekly
pot-luck picnic in Tower Grove Park (at the “tunica site” in the southwest
quadrant of the park). It will be on Thursday evenings all summer starting at
5:30 p.m., and it will be a wonderful time to fellowship and eat and play
games, etc.! Just bring a side dish or desert as hot dogs and hamburgers will
be provided. These are the dates: June
22, July 6, 20, August 3, 17, 31.

Matt Philip is looking for
someone (or more than one!) to take his place as representative to Webster-Rock
Hill Ministries’ Council. It meets usually once a month. Talk to Matt if
interested or if you want more information. Matt will be back in town on June
17.
ÖTutoring
Coordinator Person Needed
Webster-Rock Hill Ministries needs to hire one Tutoring Coordinator person to work alongside the Tutoring Coordinator already in place. This is an income position with the newly hired individual acting as a private contract person. The contract fee does not include any type of benefit package; this fee could be considered a stipend or part-time income. A three-person committee will interview interested persons; teaching experience is helpful but not mandatory and specifics can be mailed from the Ministries office by calling 314-961-5082.

Collect school supplies for
kids in need. As is our custom, the Mercy Ministry will be collecting school
supplies from the congregation in late summer. Go ahead and start now if you
