Please also note... Part of our gladness on the Lord’s Day is visiting with each other! But before the service please greet each other outside or in the parlor so that the sanctuary can remain quiet for those who want to meditate on the Lord.

Old Orchard Church’s Church-Wide
Summer Sunday School
(Please note that we will not have Sunday school next Sunday, May 29 due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend.)
This summer at Old Orchard Church we are encouraging everyone to come together and enjoy one another for Sunday School. 
 
Our theme will be the Ten Commandments.
 
So please consider yourself, your family, your friends, and anyone else  invited to join with us on Sunday mornings starting Sunday, June 5 at 9 a.m. The one class will be for Kindergarten through 80+! We will learn, laugh, and love the summer through.
 
There will be a nursery available for ages Pre-K and younger.
 
Please plan to come! Sign up sheet circulating today to sign up for the class.

Next Movie Night@Milligan House

Come join us this Friday, May 27, at 6:30 p.m. for an evening of film and discussion. We will show “O Brother Where Art Thou” (PG-13), a comedy with great old timey music! Brazil Worship Next Sunday Evening

All invited to join with our brothers and sisters in Christ from Brazil for worship at 5:00 p.m. May 29 at Milligan House. Worship will be in Portuguese, the sermon will be translated into English. Questions? See Jorge Patrocinio.

 

Reminder:  Joint House Church Once a Month

The Session is now scheduling a Joint House Church to meet only once a month:  the first Sunday of each month at Milligan House. Our next one will be Wednesday, June 1 (a week from this Wednesday). We will gather for a pot-luck supper at 6 p.m. (bring a dish to share), and then meet for our meeting and prayer time at 7 p.m. Questions? See any elder.

Church Office Closed

Durinda Hood will be out of town Thursday, May 26 through Saturday, June 4. Therefore, she will not be in the church office Thursday & Friday, May 26 & 27, and Monday, May 30 through Friday, June 3. If you need access to the church building and do not a have a key, contact Mark Tucker.

Willie’s a disabled man who lives in the Webster/Rock Hill area and has attended our morning worship.

Church Photo Album: — Help & Photos Wanted

If you would like help us organize and place photos in the church’s photo albums, please let me know. I want to schedule a time for us soon to meet together and work on it. Just give me a call or e-mail me. I will be in the office through May 25, then back in the office on June 6. I’d like to meet together from time to time (maybe 3 to 4 times a year) to maintain it. OOC Prayer Requests

 

Pray for our Summer Sunday School—that it will be a good time of learning together for all ages.

 

Give thanks for the graduations of our high school students:  Katharine Bayer; Peter Branson; Clara Lee and Leandro Lemen. Pray for them as they each take their next steps in work or education.

 

Give thanks for and pray for Aaron Bond and Peter Branson as they serve as youth interns with Mark Tucker.

 

Pray for Durinda Hood as she spends a week with her aging parents in Texas. Pray for Brinson as he remains here.

 

Food Pantry

Bring canned food and non-perishables:  canned soup, canned vegetables, meats:  tuna, Spam, salmon, chili, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, canned fruit, etc.
Remember to bring individual sized containers as many recipients are on foot. Thank you!
