We welcome you to our
worship, and thank you for your patience while we renovate our building. We
invite you to use our child care services to infants through children in
kindergarten, located at Milligan House. Please see nursery details below.
Also, visit our Sunday School, offered for all ages (resumes August 6, 9
a.m. on Sunday mornings—see more below). If you would like to find out more
about Old Orchard and what we are about, please fill out one of our visitor
forms.
Overture Deadline
Overture: Today
is the deadline for the next Overture (our newsletter) which comes
out on August 6. Susan O’Neal is Editor for the week. All submissions need to
be signed. Please place your articles in the Overture mail slot (in the
foyer).
LOST & Found Sunday Morning
Program
Everyone is invited to join us for
the four Sunday Schools in August beginning August 6. This Sunday School will
be for all ages (adults and children) and it is designed to follow up our
Journey To Narnia Summer Children's Program. Our hope is to meet new families
and to learn, laugh, and grow together. Please join us each Sunday in August at
9 am in the church basement. If you can help with bringing snacks contact Mark
Tucker.
School Supply Time
You are invited to bring
school supplies (or make a financial donation) to help families served by
Webster Rock Hill Ministries. See list on the back of this sheet.
Deadline: Sunday, August 13.
Arts Ministry
All artists are invited to
our next Arts Ministry meeting on Tuesday, August 8 at 7 p.m. See Ron Lutjens
if you have questions.
Next Parlor Fellowship
We will have a parlor
fellowship on Sunday, August 13 after worship. We hope to actually have it in
the parlor! Our hosts will be Kathy Jennings and Tami Poehlman. The menu: 12 muffins or 1 loaf of sweet bread; vegetable
tray, 8 oz. Bag of nuts or trail mix and peanut butter sandwiches for the kids.

Staff Vacation
Our Music Director, Greg
Roig, is on vacation and will return August 12. Our Assistant Pastor, Mark
Tucker, will be on vacation the week of August 7.

August House Church
No House Church this week,
the first Wednesday in August, due to our Summer Children’s Program. Our August
House Church has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 16 and will be
given over largely to a report on the Brazil Trip and prayer for the progress
of the kingdom of God in Brazil.
Tonight, July 30, 6 p.m. at
St. Luke’s, 2336 Tennessee Ave. 63104. All are invited to this special occasion
of the members of Olive Branch joining with South City Church and the transfer
of some members from Old Orchard to South City.
Our Nursery
Nursery is offered for
infants & children through Kindergarten age.
Infants nursery for infants — 35 months begins at 10
a.m. This nursery is presently on the first floor of Milligan House.
Preschool nursery: Begins at
10:00 a.m. for 3 & 4 year olds and 10:45 a.m. for 5 through K. Pre-school
Nursery: children ages 3 and 4 can be
in the nursery at the beginning of worship, and then the older children (5
through K) remain with their parents until 10:45 a.m. when children will be
dismissed. Nursery is located on the second floor of Milligan House.
Parents: please pick
up your children from both the infant and preschool nurseries immediately after
worship.
One Week Open To Mow Lawn
Please sign up to mow Willie
Lee’s lawn (Willie is disabled & his home is located in the Webster/Rock
Hill area). We have one week—September 4-10—open. See Matt Philip to
sign up for this one week and for questions about Willie’s lawn. Thanks
to all who have taken up this ministry!

South City Church (your
daughter church!) invites you all to “Karoga Bonga” (Swahili for “stir food as
it cooks as you talk to each other”). Invite your friends to this bi-weekly
pot-luck picnic in Tower Grove Park (at the “tunica site” in the southwest
quadrant of the park). It will be on Thursday evenings all summer starting at
5:30 p.m., and it will be a wonderful time to fellowship and eat and play
games, etc.! Just bring a side dish or desert as hot dogs and hamburgers will
be provided. August dates: 3, 17, 31.

Verona and will be moving in gradually in August. Pray for them as three of

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We need children's ministry volunteers for this fall!
God has blessed us with a very fruitful church in the area of young children
and so one of our primary ministries is to them. Please prayerfully consider
serving in one of the following needs. Contact Mark Tucker if you are willing.
1.) 3 teachers and 3 Assistant Teachers to serve once a month for
Children's Worship.
2.) 2 Nursery leaders to serve once a month.
